Assists in ensuring day-to-day operations are conducted in compliance with regulatory and legal requirements. Assists in the implementation and administration of the Compliance Management Program. Acts in a consultant/advisory role to assists and partners with the business units to ensure an understanding of the regulatory requirements and proper controls are in place when implementing changes. EssentialJob Functions: Conducts compliance reviews on compliance processes based on the requirements of the Compliance Review Program. Follows up on inconsistencies or issues and provides recommendations for resolution. Distributes compliance-related documents and/or activities to appropriate area. Monitors responses to ensure areas take appropriate actions within the effective date/timeframe. Identifies potential implementation and/or interpretation inconsistencies and notifies appropriate management. Develops resolutions on compliance-related issues and process inconsistencies. Remains abreast of general legislative and regulatory trends and pertinent federal/state legislation. Conducts research and analysis of new and existing state/federal banking laws and regulations impacting product specifications and operating procedures. Represents the Compliance Department in decisions that impact the business units within the bank, relative to compliance management. Reviews advertisements to ensure all marketing materials are compliant with all rules and regulations. Comply with all related Federal, State and industry laws and regulations pertaining to banking. This position requires up to 33% travel, which may include flying and/or driving and some overnight stays. This position requires sitting over 66% of the time. This position requires Visual Acuity at 20 inches (or less) over 66% of the time.

Minimum Qualifications: Some knowledge of banking laws, federal and state government laws/regulations including Regulation Z, Regulation E, Regulation DD, Regulation B, Regulation C, Regulation O, Regulation CC, RESPA, Flood, Fair Lending, and UDAAP Ability to work efficiently in pressure situations and demonstrate a high level of flexibility in a rapidly changing environment Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously Knowledge of personal computers and software applications Strong keyboarding and data entry skills Knowledge and background in the interpretation of legislation Effective planning, organization, and decision-making skills Effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills Effective analytical ability and judgment Preferred Qualifications: Experience in compliance or in the retail banking loan and deposit functions with knowledge of the applicable procedures and terminology
