Our factory in Crete, NE is one of the largest wet pet food manufacturing facilities in the U.S. as a mass producer of over one thousand tons of pet food per day, including brands like Alpo®, Nestlé Purina ONE®, Pro Plan®, Friskies® and Nestlé Purina Veterinary Diets® brands. With the city of Lincoln just 25 miles from the factory, many of our associates find convenience in larger-city living in Lincoln and embrace the short commute to the quainter city of Crete.
The Production Worker Level 2 positions are a vital part of the Ingredient Prep/Receiving, Packaging and VPAC Departments of the Nestle Purina Crete Factory. Production Worker Level 2 will meet all Safety, Health, Quality and Environmental requirements when performing job duties. The primary responsibilities in these roles are handling raw ingredients, packaging materials, attending and cleaning various production lines ranging from the Palletizer/Depalletizer and cartoner to Engineered Food Component (EFC), Alternate Products Form (APF), and Loaf Equipment. These roles exist on all three shifts in our Production Departments. Overtime on all three shifts and weekends are required.
Education: High School diploma or GED.
Experience: Experience working in a production capacity such as manufacturing, agriculture, warehouse, industrial, military or related environment.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Basic Physical Requirements to be performed with or without an accommodation : Must be able to lift 57 lbs. Ability to engage in physical activities and manual labor, as required, including but not limited to: prolonged standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling and bending. Must be able to work in varying temperatures and climates Must be able to work varying shifts on weekends and/or holidays (days, afternoons, and midnights) Must have reading and basic math skills.
