Description The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is looking for an organized individual with exceptional computer experience to join our team as a Case Aide for a one-year temporary assignment!

LOCATION :Alliance, NE

SCHEDULE : Monday through Friday 8 AM to 5 PM Examples of Work Provide clerical support for casework staff via computer systems inquiry and input. Application management. Prepare and send appointment and related letters. Assist casework staff with researching specific situations/circumstances. Maintain Excel spreadsheets as to caseload distributions and other information. Process incoming and outgoing unit mail. Handle records transfer. Order office supplies and basic maintenance of office equipment (replace toner, paper, etc.) and receptionist coverage. Assist with filing and client records maintenance. Work with customer inquiries through email, phone, or face to face. Handle a multi-line phone system in a customer service environment. Additional duties as needed. Qualifications / Requirements REQUIREMENTS : Coursework/training or experience in public contact, customer service, working in a human services setting, using computer systems or office applications or performing office/secretarial support functions.

PREFERRED : Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook; Internal and external customer service experience. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities The position requires good organizational skills. Basic computer skills are needed. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Excel is preferred, also NFOCUS, or the ability to learn the basics of these programs. Ability to read, file, and sort information is needed. Some limited bending and lifting is required in sorting and filing case files. Must be highly organized, detail oriented and able to perform repetitive work in a high-volume, fast paced work environment. Knowledge of general office practices and procedures; computer office applications, systems and programs. Ability to: communicate with clients/applicants; maintain records and files.
